Summary of the Court Judgment

On 24 June 2026, the Solna District Court dismissed the lawsuit filed by M.H., a former employee of the Swedish Migration Agency (Migrationsverket), and ruled that his dismissal was lawful.

According to the judgment:

The Swedish Migration Agency argued that, over a period of several years, M.H. had maintained contacts with an intelligence officer of the Islamic Republic of Iran, an Iranian intelligence operative, and individuals linked to the Bandidos criminal network.

The court found the testimony of a representative from the Swedish Security Service (Säkerhetspolisen) to be credible and concluded that these contacts, together with the disclosure of information, had completely undermined the employer's trust in him.

The court rejected M.H.'s arguments that he had been mistaken for another person, that his right to a fair trial had been violated, and that the dismissal failed to comply with the statutory two-month deadline.

As a result, the court upheld the dismissal as lawful, rejected his claims for reinstatement and financial compensation, and ordered him to pay SEK 168,000 to cover the Swedish state's legal costs.
